The Legal Libra

Hi there! I’m a first-generation Beninese gal, proudly NYC-made but raised in STL. When I’m not diving into my law studies, you can find me enjoying some quality time with my husband and our dogs, getting lost in the world of Sims 4, being free with my close friends, or exploring new wines. Balancing life as a non-traditional law student is a challenge, but I love every moment of it. Join me as I share my journey and the things I love!

How I Got Here

2023

However, after receiving the degree, I still felt unfulfilled in the HR realm. But by a stroke of luck, a role that combined both elements of HR and legal opened up and I got it!

2021

Yet, I began feeling restless and bored again. So, I thought, "Maybe I need another degree!" Enter Washington University in St. Louis a.k.a. "Wash. U." where I received my Artium Magister in HR Management Resources.

2015

A year before graduating, I found myself entering human resources. I worked for a non-profit and a staffing agency doing full-service staffing before ending up at a Fortune 100 company doing recruitment.

2012

When I graduated high school, I was all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, thinking I would become a pre-eminent pediatrician at a renowned hospital system. So, I chose Saint Louis University (SLU) to achieve that goal. I was quickly humbled. That, and I did not enjoy the prospects of dissecting a cadaver.

2024

After working as a paralegal for some time, and support from loved ones, I decided to bite the bullet and go for it; apply to law school!

2025

In January, Saint Louis University's School of Law (SLU SOL), accepted me into their conditional law program. Within the next month, The Legal Libra came alive to assist other similarly situated students like myself!
